Sheet metal bending
The process of sheet metal bending involves plastically forming the material to a predetermined shape under the influence of an applied force. The products are usually realised on press brakes and bending machines (thinner materials).
Our offer
We carry out sheet bending services using both our own and supplied material. Before working with the actual material, in order to avoid material shortages, we always carry out an analysis and simulation to assess the component’s ability to be manufactured correctly.
The machinery we have at our disposal, together with extensive tooling, allows us to manufacture products of considerable complexity.
Bystronic/Beyele 50T
- Pressure force: 500 kN
- Working length: 2050 mm
- Deflection compensation
Zaginarka TB 1020
- Working length: 1020 mm
- Max. thickness: 3 mm
- Bending angle: 0-135°
Accuracy achieved when bending sheet metal
The accuracy and repeatability of our machines, allows us to realise components within ISO 2768m tolerances. In the case of higher requirements, we are able to manufacture products with tighter tolerances, which are confirmed by an increased frequency of measurements.
Bending and surface aesthetics
After the bending process, there are usually bending tool marks. These can be minimised or even completely eliminated, for which purpose special dies or so-called traceless bending tapes are used. On request, we can use these materials during the realisation of your order.
What has an impact on the price?
The most important influence on the price in the sheet bending process is the size of the series of a given element, its complexity and the required accuracy. The price of one bend can range from a few dozen cents to as much as several tens of zlotys.
PIOLUM was founded by a group of engineers specialising in the processing of metal components. Its aim is to provide a proven and stable supply chain for components requiring high quality workmanship in laser cutting, sheet metal bending and ancillary processes.
